LOCAL : Santa Ana Boy, 3, Dies of Car Injuries

A 3-year-old Santa Ana boy died today from injuries he suffered when he dashed across a street near his home and was struck by a car, authorities said.
The child, Juan Arreola, was trying to cross the street to get to his home in the 800 block of Louis Street about 7:45 p.m. Monday when he was struck by a car whose driver was not held or charged, police said. The boy was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center where he underwent surgery for massive head and internal injuries. He died at 1:44 a.m. today.
