Spurs Get Cummings for Robertson, Anderson
The Milwaukee Bucks traded forward Terry Cummings, their leading scorer each of the last five seasons, to the San Antonio Spurs Sunday for guard Alvin Robertson, forward Greg Anderson and future considerations.
Cummings, 28, selected to the National Basketball Assn. All-Star team for the second time in his career last season, averaged 22.9 points and 8.1 rebounds, but missed most of the Bucks last five playoff games with a sprained ankle.
The 6-foot-9 Cummings came to the Bucks in 1984 in a trade that sent Marques Johnson to the Clippers.
The 6-4 Robertson, 27, a three-time NBA All-Star, has averaged 16.2 points per game, 5.4 assists and 2.9 steals over his five-year career.
The 6-10 Anderson, 25, a member of the 1988 NBA All-Rookie team, averaged 13.7 points and 8.2 rebounds last season.
