Matt Geiger, a 6-foot-11 basketball player who plans to transfer from Auburn, told the UCLA coaching staff that he has narrowed his choices to Georgia Tech and Villanova, his mother, Kay, said from the family’s home in Clearwater, Fla. Geiger, who averaged 15.9 points and 6.6 rebounds as a sophomore last season, visited UCLA two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, LeRon Ellis, a 6-11 center who plans to transfer from Kentucky, is scheduled to visit UCLA next month. He also has scheduled visits to Syracuse, St. John’s and Nevada-Las Vegas.
