Advisers to Cineplex: The Toronto entertainment company Cineplex Odeon Corp. said it has engaged Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York and RBC Dominion Securities in Toronto to “assist it in evaluating any proposals that may be made to acquire the company.” Separately, the company denied reports in a Canadian newspaper that certain key Cineplex shareholders, including members of the Bronfman group, had together sold nearly 700,000 shares of stock. Cineplex Chairman Garth Drabinsky is attempting to put together a bid to acquire all of Cineplex’s shares.
