Professor Is Elected to National Academy

Walter M. Fitch of Culver City, professor of biological sciences at USC, has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences.

Fitch, who has taught in the school’s department of biological sciences since 1986, is editor in chief of the journal, Molecular Biology and Evolution. He has published more than 100 articles in scientific journals.
