Autopsies Done on Pair Found Dead in Home
Autopsies were conducted Thursday on the bodies of a man and woman found dead with gunshot wounds in their Anaheim apartment Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Sgt. Chet Barry identified the victims as Luis Arturo Herrera, 24, and Diane Patrice Swarbrick, 23.
Barry said a neighbor discovered the bodies after the victims’ two children--a girl and boy between the the ages of 18 and 24 months--wandered to a nearby apartment. The girl, who is older, “basically told the neighbor she couldn’t get them to wake up,” Barry said. He said one of the two children is the couple’s, and the other is Herrera’s from a previous relationship.
Police are trying to determine a motive for the shootings. Nothing appeared to have been taken from the apartment, Barry said.
