Clayton Haslop, violin; Jack Sanders, guitar. Centaur CRC 2061 (compact disc). This locally based duo offers a strong, virtuoso program, neatly recorded and generally well played, though Haslop has some skittish moments in Sarasate’s “Carmen” Fantasy. David Leisner’s four “Dances in the Madhouse” are a potent addition to the repertory--giddy, attractive reinterpretations of traditional forms--while Karl Kohn’s “Concords” is a deft, moody bit of chamber abstraction.
