Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne and Neil Young will headline “a clean and sober family benefit” in Rapid City, S.D., on July 2. Organizers of the Paha Sapa Music Festival have asked that no alcohol, drugs or glass containers be brought into the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. Proceeds from the concert, which also is to feature Bruce Cockburn and Timbuk 3, will go to radio station KILI, “the voice of the Lakota nation,” the Oglala Lakota College and the Alcohol and Family Wellness Coalition. The stated purpose is to “further self-sufficiency” and “end alcohol abuse” among native peoples in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
