Former New York City Opera soprano Phyllis Curtin, who is now dean of Boston University’s School for the Arts, will be back on stage Saturday, not as a performer, but to accept the Person of the Year Award during WCRB Night at the Boston Pops. The classical radio station also will award a fellowship in her name to a music student at Tanglewood this summer. Curtin was a music student at Tanglewood in 1946 and now teaches there. The onstage performers for the concert will be Broadway stars Barbara Cook and Mandy Patinkin.
