USAir Cuts Some Fares: USAir said it has implemented new discount air fares for flights from Southern California to Sacramento, although the availability of all of the fares may vary from flight to flight on the same routes. The carrier introduced a $258 round-trip fare for the Sacramento to Los Angeles, Burbank, Orange County or San Diego routes that doesn’t require advanced purchase. Previously, the only fare available on short notice was $378. USAir also reduced from $138 to $128, its seven-day, nonrefundable fare for the routes and added a new one-day advance purchase, nonrefundable round-trip fare of $148.
