Boole & Babbage to Buy Computer Firm

MT. LAUREL, N.J. — Avant-Garde Computing Inc. said it has signed a letter of intent to be acquired by Boole & Babbage Inc. for $4 million cash and the assumption of certain liabilities.
The purchase price is subject to change based upon a formula tied to net assets purchased by Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Boole and the liabilities to be assumed.
