Sixty members of the Assembly have sent a letter to the state Board of Prison Terms asking that the scheduled June 15 parole of attempted murderer Arthur Richard Jackson be blocked. Jackson stabbed actress Theresa Saldana 10 times in an attempt to kill her outside her West Hollywood apartment in 1982. While in prison, he has repeatedly vowed to kill Saldana upon his scheduled release from the California Medical Facility at Vacaville after serving seven years of a 12-year term. “It is outrageous that an individual who viciously stabbed a women 10 times now has an opportunity to try and kill her again,” said Assemblyman Pat Nolan (R-Glendale), who circulated the letter. It was signed by 30 Republicans and 30 Democrats.
