Hawthorne Forum on Urban Village
The Hawthorne Community Redevelopment Agency will hold a citywide public forum on a proposed $200-million “urban village” June 20 at 7 p.m. in the Sun Room of the Hawthorne Memorial Center, 3901 El Segundo Blvd.
The Cloverleaf Group proposal calls for a mix of residential and commercial development so people could live and work on the 28-acre site on Rosecrans Avenue just west of the San Diego Freeway. The complex would include 500 condominiums, three hotels, a retail center, movie theaters, a health club and restaurants.
The developer, the architect and city redevelopment officials will answer questions and hear public comment on the plan.
