Wheelchair Games to Be Held Next Week

The ninth National Veterans Wheelchair Games, with more than 500 wheelchair athletes expected to compete, will be held Tuesday through next Saturday at Cal State Long Beach.

The events include track and field, swimming, archery, basketball, billiards, bowling, slalom, table tennis, weightlifting and a motorized wheelchair rally.

The Long Beach VA Medical Center is sponsoring the Games.
