1 Performance Dropped for Frankfurt Ballet
SAN DIEGO — San Diego Performances has canceled one performance of the Frankfurt Ballet because of lagging ticket sales and production expenses required for the high-tech company.
“They’re as expensive to bring in as a rock concert,” said director Suzanne Townsend, “and we don’t have a big subscriber base.”
The internationally known troupe will make its San Diego debut at the Civic Theater on June 16, with choreography by William Forsythe, the group’s controversial American director.
