Study Ordered for Public Golf Course
The Rancho Palos Verdes City Council has agreed to spend up to $9,000 to have an independent consultant analyze the economic feasibility of a public golf course in the southwest portion of the city near City Hall and the old Marineland site.
The city has been reviewing the possibility of developing a public golf course in conjunction with the proposed resort development at Long Point--the site of the defunct Marineland--and a proposed residential development along the bluffs north of Point Vicente.
The developers of both sites have employed a golf course architect to design and engineer the course. The council will review the feasibility report in conjunction with a presentation by the developers of the preliminary golf course design.
