Share

The Los Angeles Unified School District has extended the application deadline for eight new magnet programs until Friday.

Magnet programs, which are aimed at promoting integration and academic enrichment, focus on specific subject areas or on special teaching methods.

They are open to all district students, and admission is based on several factors, including ethnicity and whether a student’s neighborhood school is crowded or racially balanced.
