SOUTHLAND : ‘Heaven’ Co-Star Victor French Dies

Victor French, the bearded co-star of TV’s “Highway to Heaven,” died from lung cancer today at Sherman Oaks Community Hospital. He was 54.

French played Isaiah Edwards on “Little House on the Prairie” with Michael Landon. He joined Landon again on “Highway to Heaven,” playing Mark Gordon, a burly ex-cop and ex-drunk who was rescued in the series from ruin by Landon’s Jonathan Smith, an earthbound angel. He is survived by three children.
