Beverly Hills : School Principal Promoted
Beverly Hills High School Principal Sol Levine has been named assistant superintendent of educational services for the Beverly Hills Unified School District. Levine, who was selected from a field of 96 candidates, will assume the newly created position on July 1 under a two-year contract with an annual salary of $80,000.
Levine will be responsible for curriculum and instruction programs, and will oversee personnel, elementary education, adult education and pupil services.
Levine has 36 years experience as a teacher, department head, counselor and principal. He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1953, and received his master’s degree there in 1955.
