Riverside County authorities said they will seek vehicular manslaughter charges against the driver of a semi-trailer truck that caused a multi-car crash in which two Marines were killed and another seriously injured Friday on Interstate 215 near Perris.

The driver, identified Saturday as Donald Wayne Viktora, 51, of Missoula, Mont., is being held in Riverside County Jail. Viktora is expected to be arraigned Monday, a jail spokeswoman said.

California Highway Patrol officers said Viktora, hauling a load of building board, was cutting in and out of the northbound lanes at 70 m.p.h. when he failed to see traffic slowing ahead. The truck tractor hit five cars, one of those rebounded into a sixth, and the trailer hit a seventh car as it overturned, a CHP spokeswoman said.
