Fewer Young Couples Can Buy Homes, Study Finds

Share

It’s getting tougher for young couples to buy a home. According to a recent study, between 1975 and 1985 the Census Bureau reports that less than half of the married couples between the ages of 25 and 34 had incomes high enough to by their first home.

In the mid-70’s, three-fourths of such couples could afford starter homes.
