COMMENCEMENT 1989
UCLA, celebrating its 70th commencement, held 12 separate ceremonies for its schools and colleges over the weekend. Degrees were conferred on more than 8,000 students. Rosemary Park, UCLA emeritus professor of education and former college president and UCLA vice chancellor, delivered the keynote address at the principal ceremony Sunday for the College of Letters and Sciences.

Other Graduations:
UC Riverside held its 35th commencement Sunday evening on the South Tower Mall on campus. UC Riverside Chancellor Rosemary S.J. Schraer delivered the keynote address. Nearly 1,100 degrees were awarded.
