Comedian Dom DeLuise has left the Music Center Opera cast of “Orpheus in the Underworld” to go to New York where his mother is critically ill. He was replaced in the performances Saturday and Sunday by Roderick Cook, who received a 1987 Tony nomination for his acting in “Oh Coward!” Cook will continue to cover the role of Public Opinion, pending DeLuise’s return to the production, which closes July 2.
