IBM Senior Vice President Michael Armstrong has been elected chairman and president of IBM World Trade Corp. He succeeds Kaspar V. Cassani, who retired from IBM on May 31 after 38 years of service. Armstrong continues as a member of the IBM Management Committee and the Corporate Management Board. He reports to IBM Chairman John Akers.
IBM Senior Vice President David E. McKinney has been elected chairman of the IBM World Trade Europe/Middle East/Africa Corp.’s board to succeed Armstrong. McKinney will report to Armstrong and continue as president and chief executive of the IBM World Trade E/ME/A Corp. and as president-director general of IBM Europe.
