Orange County may be the California Riviera, but that doesn’t mean kids don’t get bored. So starting today, the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Dana Point is offering half a dozen supervised children’s activities for its guests.
The programs include kite flying, sandcastle creations, pool games, lawn Olympics and movie matinees. The cost is $5 for courses taken “a la carte,” $20 for a half-day session or $40 for a full day.
The Ritz-Carlton, by the way, was one of 10 winners across the United States that recently received the 1989 Ivy Award from Restaurant Institutions magazine. The award, known as the Oscar of the food service and lodging industry, is voted by 143,000 executives who receive the monthly trade magazine.
