Two Nominees Picked for Energy Dept. Posts

WASHINGTON —
President Bush said Wednesday that he will nominate Victor Stello Jr., a top Nuclear Regulatory Commission official, to become assistant secretary of the Energy Department in charge of nuclear energy. Stello has been the NRC’s executive director for operations since 1986.
Bush said also that he will nominate John J. Easton Jr. as assistant secretary of energy for international affairs and energy emergencies. Easton is a former Vermont attorney general.
