Superior Industries said it received new orders of more than $200 million from Ford and General Motors for aluminum wheels.

The Van Nuys company said that the orders will cover the model years 1990 and 1991 and that they should boost Superior’s sales significantly in the next three years.

Last year, Superior earned $13.1 million on revenue of $200.1 million.

The orders from Ford call for five new wheel models in addition to the 24 now produced. The General Motors orders call for 12 new models in addition to the 17 produced.
