Postal Centers Will Be Put in Shopping Malls
From Associated Press
WASHINGTON —
The Postal Service announced Friday that it will begin setting up operations in major stores at shopping malls across the nation.
Assistant Postmaster General Gordon C. Morison said the agency plans to negotiate contracts for operation of the postal service centers. No locations were announced.
Like several thousand contract postal outlets in drugstores, groceries and other retail facilities, the new centers will be operated by employees of the stores and will be open when the stores are open.
