Cooper Sells Largest Business: After months of delays, Cooper Cos. said it has completed the sale of its largest business, Cooper Technicon, for $477 million. Cooper sold the medical diagnostics product business to Miles Inc., a subsidiary of Bayer AG, for $187 million in cash and the assumption of $290 million in debt. The sale is the biggest step in the wholesale restructuring of Cooper Cos., once a giant health-care products company. In the past two years, the company has sold $485 million in assets in addition to the Cooper Technicon sale.
