Freeway Lanes to Be Closed for Repairs
The California Department of Transportation is planning to work on sections of the San Diego Freeway in Long Beach on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, forcing closure of various lanes to permit work crews to seal cracks between the freeway pavement and bridges.
The closures will include:
Northbound lanes from Alameda to Carson streets on Friday from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday. Motorists will be able to use the median during the closure.
Southbound lanes at Woodruff Avenue and Stearns Street bridge from midnight Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. The median will not be open to traffic.
Southbound lanes at Cherry Avenue to Bellflower Boulevard from 8 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday. Drivers will be able to use the median.
