A federal judge in Los Angeles placed two Costa Mesa firms in receivership Wednesday for their part in an investment scheme that allegedly bilked unwitting victims out of $1.4 million over 18 months. U.S. District Judge Ronald S. Lew appointed a temporary receiver for Alpha Trust and Omega Management Network Inc. and approved a settlement drafted Tuesday. As part of the settlement, Robert J. Corsaut agreed to the receivership without admitting or denying guilt. Corsaut is president of Omega Management. He and Omega are the two trustees of Alpha Trust.
