Fullerton : Improvements in Park to Be Unveiled Saturday
The city has completed $1.4 million in renovations to the ballfield at Amerige Park and will unveil the improvements in a Saturday ceremony.
Two all-star teams from the Fullerton Colt League will play the first baseball game on the new field, which now sports a 500-seat grandstand, a new concession stand, a utility room, lighting and an irrigation system. The field can be set up as one baseball diamond or two soccer fields.
The dedication ceremony is at 1:30 p.m. and will be followed by musical entertainment and free hot dogs, peanuts and soft drinks.
