Disc Instruments Inc., a Costa Mesa manufacturing company, announced Friday that the company has been sold to Danaher Corp., a conglomerate based in Washington. Disc Instruments, which had belonged to Honeywell Inc. since 1983, reported sales of more than $10 million last year. The Costa Mesa company makes devices that are used to measure movement in manufacturing processes and medical equipment. Disc Instruments, founded 30 years ago by Warren Perrine in Tustin, employs 120 people. Joseph Trost, president of Disc Instruments, said the change in ownership would not affect employment at the plant. He said he will remain as president of the firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
