Archive Corp., a Costa Mesa manufacturer of computer tape drives, said its earnings rose 49% in the latest quarter, to $4.2 million from $2.8 million in the year-earlier quarter. For the third quarter ended June 30, revenue rose 58%, to $50.5 million from $31.9 million. In the nine-month period, Archive’s earnings climbed 51%, to $11.1 million, while revenue grew 53%, to $131.7 million.
