THE SIDELINES : Americans Sweep Dressage Event
Marie Meyers, riding Dimitrius, led a U.S. sweep of the top three places in today’s dressage, the opening event of the $148,000 Stockholm International Horse Show.
Meyers received 1.273 points from the five judges and finished just ahead of Robert Dover on Walzertak, who had 1.271 points. Third was Carol Lavell on Gifted with 1.248 points.
Uta Wusthof, riding Ramon, and fellow West German Nicole Holzer on Ricardo were fourth and fifth, respectively, with 1.222 and 1.218 points.
