Bethlehem Steel Corp.: The Bethlehem, Pa.-based steel maker’s second-quarter profit plunged 44% from a year ago to $84 million. Sales totaled $1.4 billion, up 3%. The results include $50 million of unusual charges for restructuring and downsizing the operations of the company’s Beth Forge division.
