Marriott Corp. recently opened its fifth Residence Inn in Orange County, this time in Irvine.
Situated 10 miles from John Wayne Airport, the all-suite property is aimed toward business travelers who need lodging for five nights or more at a time.
Amenities include a grocery shopping service, guest laundry facilities, an airport shuttle service and kitchens equipped with microwave ovens, dishwashers and serving utensils.
Rates are based on length of stay. Without corporate discounts, they range from $84 per day for at least a seven-night stay in a studio to $148 per day for the penthouse with two bedrooms.
The Residence Inn expects 80% of its clientele will be business travelers. After all, “we’re completely surrounded by corporate headquarters” such as Toshiba and AT&T;, said Robert Palme front office manager.
The 112-suite property is in the Irvine Spectrum business district.
Marriott’s operates other Residence Inns in Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Orange and Placentia.
