n DeWitt J. Paul has been named senior vice president and director of corporate marketing at American Savings Bank, Irvine. In his new position, Paul will direct the company’s product management, research, advertising, branch public relations and field marketing activities. Prior to joining American, he was president and chief executive officer of March Industries, a manufacturer of charcoal and wood fire starter. Before that, Paul was vice president of marketing at Avco Financial Services, and corporate vice president of market planning for Beneficial Corp.
