Transamerica Corp.: The San Francisco-based insurance, real estate and financial services company said second-quarter net income rose 13% to $91.3 million. The company noted strong performances in its life insurance, consumer lending and leasing operations and said that capital gains from sales of securities totaled $10.7 million in the 1989 second quarter, compared to $1.9 million a year ago. Revenue rose 6% to $1.7 billion.
