Dominguez Hills Gets Federal Nursing Grant

The Statewide Nursing Program, based at California State University, Dominguez Hills, has been awarded a $163,000 grant from the federal Department of Health and Human Services to provide stipends for nurses pursuing graduate studies in nursing.
Grants are awarded based on the number of students in a program and the quality and success of that program. More than 3,000 nurses are completing degrees through the Statewide Nursing Program, which is taught through hospitals and community colleges statewide.
