Horses Hit by Suspected African Plague in Spain

CADIZ, Spain —
Veterinarians in southern Spain have vaccinated 700 horses after three animals died in a suspected fresh outbreak of African equine plague, local government officials said Saturday.
The highly infectious disease, which had been eradicated from Europe, has struck twice in Spain in the past two years.
