San Quentin State Prison officials said they recovered “paraphernalia” for a possible escape attempt in a laundry facility and inside an inmate’s cell. Spokesman Cal White said two officers searching the laundry found a rope made from mattress covers, a pair of barber scissors, a hacksaw blade and street clothes. A subsequent search of an inmate’s cell turned up a half-completed dummy, with only the legs finished, said prison officials.
