The West Covina Playhouse will open its sixth season this weekend with the comedy “Right Bed, Wrong Husband” at its new facility at 911 West Covina Parkway. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. through Aug. 26, and at 2 p.m. Sunday and Aug. 20. General admission tickets are $6.

The playhouse was organized in 1984 as a nonprofit community theater. Its actors are nearly all amateurs who live as far away as Hollywood and Artesia. The director, Ben Wilbur, is a Redlands resident who works for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
