Clairemont Bank Robbed; Suspect Tied to More
Police and the FBI are investigating the robbery Wednesday of a Union Bank branch in Clairemont.
The same suspect--described as a tanned white male in his early 20s--may have been involved in seven or eight other bank heists in the Clairemont area, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
The bandit entered the bank about 2 p.m., told the teller he had a weapon and handed the teller a note demanding money, Robinson said. He received $1,525, placed it in a gym bag and escaped, the police spokesman said.
