Female basketball players at major colleges spend as much time playing their sport as males, yet they study harder and get higher grades, according to an NCAA study.

The 61-page report, the fourth in a series, also concluded that women attend classes more regularly.

The study examined confidential questionnaires and was conducted at 42 Division I campuses.
