Bradley’s Fight for Political Survival

Share

The scenario is unfolding. The first act, evidence of a tort has been presented. But the second act cannot get started because City Atty. James Hahn is buying time for Bradley.

Talk about conflict of interest, as the son of (county Supervisor) Kenny Hahn, Bradley’s long-time backer, investigates the mayor’s controversial activities. Wasn’t it Bradley who was in favor of a civilian board to investigate police misconduct? James Hahn investigating Bradley is as futile as the police investigating themselves.

The City Council members who are in favor of a new outside committee to start the second act deserve a standing ovation. And if Bradley and James Hahn think apathy will take over and this will all fade into the wings, they are wrong. The show will go on and, indeed, the curtain will fall.
