A suspected drunk driver rear-ended a van full of women as it waited to make a turn in the Silver Lake area, injuring 12 people, two of them seriously, Los Angeles police said Sunday.

Police said John Dobbins, 29, of Los Angeles was booked on suspicion of felony drunk driving after he was treated for minor cuts and bruises to the face.

Dobbins’ car rammed into the back of a stopped van at the intersection of Glendale Boulevard and Aaron Street at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sgt. John Haus said.
