Helen Topping; USC Architecture Honoree

Helen Topping, 79, wife of former USC President Norman Topping and namesake of the Helen Topping Architecture and Fine Arts Library. A native of Seattle, Mrs. Topping completed all but one course on the way to a master’s degree in architecture. She maintained a lifelong interest in architecture and interior design, and helped design her husband’s Los Angeles office and the couple’s summer home near Kingston, Wash. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Helen Topping Architecture and Fine Arts Library, where an addition is under construction at USC. In Gamble Bay, Wash., on Saturday.
