Leftist Salvadoran rebels wounded 14 people in attacks on a police academy and an ambush of army musicians, the military command announced. About 25 rebels using rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns attacked the Public Security Academy in Antiguo Cuscatlan, five miles northwest of the capital, the armed forces press office reported. Five cadets and two national police officers were wounded in the attack; several buildings in the new complex were damaged. The armed forces also said that seven army musicians were wounded in a rebel ambush in the northern province of Chalatenango.
