Guard Linked to Sex With Female Inmate

A guard at the Metropolitan Correctional Center was charged Friday with having sex with a female inmate, prosecutors said.
Carmond E. McNeil, 31, of San Ysidro was charged in a one-count indictment with engaging in sexual activity with a woman who was serving a 2-year sentence stemming from a drug conviction.
McNeil, who has been a senior correctional officer at MCC for about two years, is expected to be arraigned next week, Assistant U. S. Atty. Gregory A. Vega said.
If convicted, McNeil could be sentence to a maximum of one year in prison and up to $100,000 in fines.
Investigators were led to McNeil after another guard on rounds observed something “unusual,” Vega said.
